LBGR Brandenburg in Germany awards contract for digitizing and processing seismic reflection data to GISCON

Within the project 'Brandenburg 3D – Development of a comprehensive subsurface model for the state of Brandenburg', GISCON geo.engineering.gmbh won the contract for capturing reflection horizons for LBGR Brandenburg – the state authority for Mining, Geology and Minerals in Brandenburg.

The contract comprises digitizing and data processing of approximately 550 maps of seismic reflection (seismic reflection map series 1:100,000) until May 2013. This includes designing an appropriate data model, georeferencing, vectorizing and assigning attributes within ArcGIS 10, as well as comprehensive quality assurance measures for the deliverable data.

Background:

The LBGR are planning to provide a state-wide 3D geological model for both internal and public use via the internet based on available deeper underground information of Brandenburg (such as drilling reports / bore logs and seismic reflection reports / depth profiles).
