Company Brochure This is a consulting project conducted by GISCON for the Water Management and Water Protection Department of Lower Saxony, in preparation for the development of GIS functions for the specific needs of both departments. The main objective of this project was to come up with the strategic plans for the use of GIS in the management and analysis of water related datasets as well as the data exchange schemes between the different water relevant departments and the Surveying Agency of Lower Saxony. To do so, the work flow process in both water departments was analyzed and modeled and the corresponding functions and modules were identified. The developed concept was the base for the further applications development process which resulted in the HydroTools Application.
