The Development of Technical Concept for a GIS Enterprise Solution for the National Water Resources Authority (NWRA), Yemen (January - April 2007)
The main objective of this systems analysis study was to identify and analyze the current and potential use of GIS in general and IWRM-GIS in particular inside NWRA. This includes the identification of the current GIS infrastructure, policies and strategies as well as the encountered problems and appropriate solutions. A technical concept for a complete enterprise GIS solution for NWRA that connects the headquarters to the different branches all over Yemen was developed at the end of this study. The study is financed by the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR), Germany.
