Advanced GIS Analysis, Interpolation and Digital Mapping for Syria and Lebanon (2000)

This two weeks workshop was intended to help the researchers from the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD), Syria and the National Center for Remote Sensing, Lebanon to solve some specific GIS problems with the data of a common project. The main objective was to conduct interpolation processes on collected soil data, to carry out advanced spatial analysis on the resulted datasets using ArcInfo and to compose the final maps and reports that present the results of the analysis. The workshop was held in GISCON premises at Hanover and was sponsored and supervised by the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR), Hanover, Germany.
